Coronovirus Statement

In common with all responsible organisations, the Trustees and management staff at Fintry are taking all recommended precautions and following on-going UK government and medical advice concerning the covid-19 situation.

It is our intention now that Fintry is open for bookings again that it will continue to offer a place of peace and rest from the world. We are maintaining a vigilant, measured approach in protecting the safety and well-being of our visitors and staff.

We ask that all visitors, staff and volunteers adhere to the following measures:

  • Take your temperature before coming to Fintry, and if you, your family or anyone you have been in contact with has experienced covid-19 symptoms within the last 14 days, do not come to Fintry.
  • If you are in a vulnerable category due to age or underlying health conditions or are pregnant, follow government advice on self-isolating and consider carefully whether you should come to Fintry.
  • If you or anyone in your group coming to Fintry has been to another country in the last two months that has been affected covid-19, please inform us at least one week before your arrival date.
  • On arrival and throughout your stay at Fintry, we ask you to wash your hands thoroughly and frequently, and avoid physical contact with other visitors, staff or volunteers.
  • Use a tissue and discard immediately if you cough or sneeze, then wash your hands thoroughly.
  • If you experience any symptoms whilst at Fintry, please advise the Duty Manager immediately and then stay in your room until we can advise you further.  You will then be asked to complete the online assessment questionnaire at https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 and the advice provided must be followed. You may be advised to leave Fintry immediately and return home to self-isolate, assuming you can leave by car without further risk of infection to others.  If you have arrived by public transport, within our means we will help you to return home without risk of infection to others.

We trust that because there are also positive aspects to this difficult period of time, that these will lead to more harmonious relationships between individuals, nations, and the environment within which we all live.
