A one-day ‘Get your Spring Back’ retreat
In Ayurveda Spring is a time when we move from Kapha (earth/water) into Pitta (Fire/water). Nature is awakening and so are we. It’s time to cleanse and detoxify and to set intentions: the seeds of transformation.
This one-day retreat with Raquel Alves will help you to prepare for Spring’s new beginnings, leaving you more energized, lighter and healthier. We’ll use cleansing techniques: pranayama (breathing) to balance our chakras. We’ll explore twists to wring out the sluggishness of the body, abdominal work to rekindle the fire and add backbends that work on cleansing the digestive system, the use of ujjayi breathing during the practice to sweat out the impurities, and use the bandhas to assist in directing energy & balancing our systems.
The retreat will begin with an overview and asana practice and later finish the day with a deeply restful Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) and meditation.
A light lunch is included and you’ll then have time to explore Fintry’s beautiful grounds.
Expect to leave feeling fabulous and feel the joy of Spring in your body & mind for the months ahead.
