Autumn Equinox Retreat

Celebrate the Autumn Equinox by spending some thoughtful and relaxing time at our beautiful retreat house.

Fintry is the home of the Fintry Trust. It is an Arts and Crafts style house set in the Surrey Hills, offering woodland walks and extensive views across the landscape.

The atmosphere of house and grounds is perfectly suited to a contemplative retreat from the everyday. You’ll find here a peaceful space and a time to seek the timeless within.

Numbers will be limited, so there will be plenty of space to yourself, and all rooms are single occupancy unless a twin room is requested. Access to the Quiet Room, Studio and Library.

Generous home-cooked vegetarian menu using fresh garden produce, home-made cakes, jam, marmalade, etc.

The retreat begins at 4.30 pm on Wednesday afternoon. It includes the option of a talk on Wednesday evening by Dr Eleanor Parker entitled ‘On the Gathering Tide of Darkness Ride: Tolkien and the Autumnal Equinox’. (Those attending the retreat do not need to book separately for the talk.)

The retreat ends after breakfast on Saturday morning, but you are welcome to stay on for our free Open Day, which will include various activities, along with music and poetry for the Autumn season.

Cost: £335 full-board; £190 non-residential (both include Eleanor Parker’s talk)
