How do we know? (2 Session Course)

Monday 18th and Monday 25th May 2020

19.30-20.30 BST (11.30-12.30 PST)

What are we to do with the abundance of knowledge and information at our disposal? And what has knowledge to do with wisdom?

Einstein said ‘the intuitive mind is a sacred gift, the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honours the servant but has forgotten the gift’.

In this session we will explore how each one of us, as a human being, has various capacities of knowing, or gnostic powers. These capacities are inherent within us because of the very nature of the universe (ranging from the material to the abstract) in which we live.

Our exploration will bring us to identify these gnostic powers and their corresponding fields of knowledge (that which may be known). We will touch upon the process whereby the ‘knower’ and the ‘known’ may be connected – first indirectly but ultimately through direct mystical union.

Facilitator: Jane Pittsinger
