The Integral Art of Healing

What is healing and what is health? This talk by Jane Pittsinger will explore in the broadest sense the inherent meaning of these terms and to whom or what they may apply.

We will open our thinking and questioning to range from the soma or physical body to the essential and abiding principles which permeate and underlie our humanness. We are essentially connected with one another, with the cosmic field in which we are born, live and die and with the Unity substanding all.

If you have ever been a recipient of healing practices, traditional or other, or if you are a practitioner of any healing science and art there are questions for us all to consider. What promotes healing and what ingredients are missing or neglected? Is the master narrative for healing prevalent in this time in need of expansion?

Speaker Jane Pittsinger

The dominant questions which have informed the directions of Jane’s life have been: what makes us a human being and why am I here? To this end she chose to practise the art and science of Physical (Physio) Therapy over 50 years ago. Being with someone whose body is not functioning fully has enabled deep connections with individuals of many cultures, backgrounds and ages, provoking the questions as to how recovery and healing happen. A practitioner of the Rosen Method for 30 years, she teaches this modality and holistic anatomy.

Formative influences in Jane’s life have been the study of philosophy and the universal principles of spiritual traditions. She was born in South Asia, schooled in England, has worked in Central and South America and has lived and worked in the USA since 1982.
