
An Introduction to Qi Gong
The Studio at Fintry
A short, informative and enjoyable session that will enable you to learn about this ancient practice, both through understanding and application. We will look at some of the history of the practice, its meaning and its benefits. We’ll also look at five different forms of qi gong and practise one of them.
The session is intended for beginners and the exercises will be run gently, and with supportive guidance.
The course will be facilitated by Kurt Spencer Rowe. Kurt has been practising Daoist principles for over 25 years and in the last five years has been practising qi gong, tai chi, meditation and yoga more intensively. He is trained by a Daoist tai chi master based in Wudang, Hubei Province, China and regularly attends immersive retreats there for a month at a time.
Please wear warm, comfortable clothes, loose enough to allow movement.
Feel free to bring a packed lunch and something to drink, especially if you would like to enjoy the grounds after the session.
