‘Meet the Author’ – Elizabeth Medler
Elizabeth Medler on The Colours of Virtue
The first in our new online ‘Meet the Author’ series
Elizabeth Medler was for many years Manager of The Hamblin Trust in West Sussex. She edited its magazine New Vision (formerly The Science of Thought Review), published continuously since 1921 and ran the events programme. Today she works as a freelance editor and proof-reader.
In this latest book, Elizabeth explores the nature of virtue in the form of short stories, each of which represents a colour, or particular quality of virtue, such as perseverance, sharing, listening, creativity. She says: ‘Each story is designed to bring us back to our centre so that we can orientate ourselves and draw upon the deep wisdom within our own souls.
The stories are accompanied by inspirational meditations which allow us to take a breath and come closer to the quality concerned. The book is simple, to the point and can be ‘sipped’ throughout the day as a way of introducing ‘pause’ points.’
In this ‘Meet the Author’ session taking place on Zoom Elizabeth will speak about and read from her new work, and there will be a chance to ask questions.
Signed copies of The Colours of Virtue can be obtained by emailing Elizabeth (£7.99 plus £1.50 p&p)
