New Beginnings: A Feast in Good Company
At this gateway of the year, Elizabeth Medler invites you to warm yourself by the inner fire.
Gather round and feast in good company: Thomas Merton, Rumi, Hermann Hesse (Siddhartha) and Attar, the Sufi poet, (The Conference of the Birds) celebrating the ever-present great Simurgh (سیمرغ) ~ the Bird of birds.
Our theme: Gratitude for the past year, honouring the nascent springs of new life coming to birth within us.
For spice and renewal, we draw on reflections from Piero Ferruci.
We invite you to celebrate by bringing a favourite poem, text or something you have created.
Note: All activities are optional. There will be plenty of free-flowing time for you to savour the atmosphere at Fintry and enjoy a cup of warming tea!
Spend the day alone, or together – the choice is yours.
Please bring a packed lunch. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
Entrance: £15 (to include refreshments)
