Open Door Taoist Practice
The Fintry Trust is offering a unique opportunity to join Kurt Spencer Rowe, an experienced and dedicated practitioner of Taoism, in his daily practice in the Studio at Fintry in Surrey, UK, by video link.
Wherever you are in the world, we invite you into the room, to witness Kurt as he goes about his daily disciplines as if he were back in China studying at a Taoist school in the Wudang mountains.
You can enter and re-enter the Studio at any point in the day using the Zoom link. And so that you can also make it a retreat day for yourself if you wish, you’ll also receive a free pdf of The Simple Way of Lao Tsze, published by the Shrine of Wisdom.
Important Information (please read carefully)
• Please note that this is a chance to observe and follow along if you wish; it is not a course being transmitted by Kurt.
• Participants will be muted throughout the day, with occasional pockets of time to talk with Kurt as he practises.
• Please note that the shichens in italics (below) will involve observers simply seeing Kurt behave (it may not be interesting to you!) and the walk at 7.15am will not be observable, as the signal does not extend to the local pathways that are traversed).
• Kurt will hold a Q&A session at 4.30pm (London BST) for as long as people have additional questions.
• Please note that despite studying and applying Taoist philosophy and principles since the 1990’s, Kurt still classes himself as an intermediate student, not a master practitioner.
• Day access, including the pdf of The Simple Way of Lao Tsze: £20.00 (all proceeds go to the Fintry Trust).
• Places will be limited, so enrol here without delay. Please use the form below.
• For further details/questions, email teaching@thefintrytrust.org.uk.
