Reading the Mystics: a New Year Reading Retreat
Begin the New Year by spending some thoughtful and relaxing time at Fintry, the home of the Fintry Trust.
Fintry is a beautiful Arts and Crafts style retreat house set in the Surrey Hills, offering woodland walks and extensive views across the landscape. The atmosphere of house and grounds is perfectly suited to a contemplative retreat from the everyday.
The Fintry Trust Library will be open the whole retreat, with the Librarian on hand to guide if needed. You are free either to use the Library, or read and work quietly on your own, or join us for short discussions on mystical themes.
Numbers will be limited, so you will have plenty of space to yourself, and all rooms are single occupancy unless a twin room is requested. Access to the Quiet Room, Studio and Library.
The retreat runs from 10.00 am on Wednesday 7th January to 10.00 am on Friday 9th January, but you will have the option to stay for another day event that follows immediately, including lunch, at no extra cost:- ‘The Golden Verses’ as a Guide to Practical Wisdom.
Cost: £240 – full-board; £160 non-residential + all meals included
(generous home-cooked vegetarian menu using fresh garden produce, home-made cakes, jam, marmalade, etc.)
