Reconnecting to Source: Pathways to the Self

Fintry Trust Summer School, 20th – 23rd July 2023

Join us on a transformative journey to explore the relevance of universal approaches to spirituality, religion, and the devotional path in the context of today’s challenges.

The Summer School, hosted by Jean-Paul and Sally Jeanrenaud, and Murray Morison will include talks by Anne Baring, discussions, and spiritual practices, as well as time to relax in Fintry’s beautiful grounds.

Course outcome:

The course will provide a deeper understanding of universal approaches to spirituality, as we climb the Sacred Mountain on the journey from the self to the Self. Together we will consider what it means to be ‘seed carriers’ for a better future. Participants will leave with the tools to reconnect to self, others, nature, and our ultimate source.

Sessions include:

  • The One Work, a Journey towards the Self – an illustrated talk by Anne Baring (Author and Jungian analyst).
  • The Secret Language: the hidden meaning in the symbols of mythology and the great tradition – an illustrated presentation by Murray Morison.
  • Spiritual Practices from the World’s Wisdom Traditions, led by Sally and Jean-Paul Jeanrenaud.
  • Is religion still relevant today? What does it mean to be spiritual but not religious? – a panel discussion.
  • Universal spiritual perspectives – discussion groups.
  • The ‘Leaving Atlantis’ Exercise.
  • Somatic practices (e.g. mindful movement, yoga, guided walks/Shinrin-Yoku), and time to relax in Fintry’s beautiful grounds.
