Session 1: The Healing Joy of Cultivating Compassion
You will be introduced to the benefits of Kindly Awareness meditation. Together we will explore the differences between sympathy, empathy and compassion; and understand some of the major findings from the neuroscience of compassion.
This session is part of a 4-session Mindfulness & Compassion Programme which will focus specifically on compassion practices. Some prior understanding and experience of mindfulness is helpful but not a prerequisite.
The sessions are led by qualified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teachers Jean-Paul and Sally Jeanrenaud. Jean-Paul and Sally are registered with Yoga Alliance UK, and follow the UK Good Practice Guidelines for teaching Mindfulness-based courses.
Sessions can be booked individually at £10 each, with an Under-35s discount at £5.
